Hi everyone,
Well, it is coming to the end of our time together as a class, which is a little sad....
I hope you have enjoyed the course and feel that you have learned something and progressed in your language studies.
I have enjoyed teaching you, and hope you feel that you have learned something worthwhile!
Here is your final personal journal task (#3) :
What have you enjoyed about the B10 module? Why?
What part of the course was challenging? Why?
What do you think you learned the most during the last few weeks?

Beginning and Ending to Letters of Complaint
Dear 3B students,
Here is the work we did about beginning and ending our letters of complaint.
Beginning your letter
I am writing to your office to complain about the plan to replace Whitehorse Park with a large shopping centre.
I am a student and resident of Point Cook, and I am writing to complain about the plan to tear down Victoria Park in order to build a new shopping centre.
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction about the plan to build a new shopping centre in Hopper’s Crossing. I understand that this will mean that Rabbit Park will be removed and I do not think this is a positive change.
I am a resident of Thomastown and I am writing to you because I am concerned that the local government is planning to tear down Quy Park to build a new shopping centre.
I am writing to complain that you are tearing down the Whitehorse Park in Burwood.
I am writing to your office to express my dissatisfaction about the proposal to build a new 10 level shopping centre in place of the beautiful Elwood Park.
(note: proposal = plan)
I am a resident of Sunshine, and I am writing to tell you about a wild animal, which my neighbour is keeping in a cage as a pet.
I am writing to complain about a neighbour who is keeping a koala as a domestic pet.
I am a resident of Footscray and I am writing to your centre because I noticed that a neighbour is keeping a native koala bear as a pet, which I know is prohibited.
I am a resident of Elwood and I am writing to you because I am very concerned about the welfare of a koala bear which my neighbour is keeping as a pet.
Ending your Letter
I hope that you understand why I am unhappy, and also how important it is to take action.
I hope that you understand why I am concerned, and also how important it is that something is done about this situation.
Yours sincerely,

A Brief Summary
In Joseph Kim lecture, he use some emotive languages which is inspiring us to believe in hope through his story and how important education has change his life. In first part, he talked about his hard life in the past while he still live in North Korea. He shared how hard he had to struggle to stay alive from starvation because he lived in poor areas. Second part, he talked about how an orphan child could be brave to escape from his country to search his family and to get a better life. He tried to escape to China, but then he realized that there was not better than his country, so that he tried to escape again to the US as an refugee. Last, he points about how education can give him an opportunity to gain a better life and he also mention implicitly how important a family for him to have a motivation in education.
